Aaisha may Allah be pleased with her Narrated That the prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم was bewitched until he thought that he had accomplished something but he had not. until a day that the prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم was in my room, he prayed and prayed more and more, then he said oh Aishah  did you feel what I felt? Allah  has answered my question she said what is it oh prophet of Allah?  he said two angels came to me and one of them sat by my head while the other sat by my feet the one was sitting by my head said to the other one what is wrong with this man? the other replied  he is bewitched. the first one said, who bewitched him? the other replied labid ibn aasm  he is a man from the tribe of banu zurayq and he is an ally of the Jews and a hypocrite. the first one asked. with what did he bewitched him? the other replied with a comb and hair from the comb the first one asked , where is the comb ? the other answered, in the dried bark of a male date Palm under The Rock in a well called “dharwan”.  Aishah said “so he went to that well to remove it { the comb with the hair} then he said.  “this is the well that I saw it was as if it's water had henna soaked in it and it's Palm trees were like the heads of devils  so he moved it of the well then Aishah  said will you not make this public?he replied صلى الله عليه وسلم Allah has cured me and I hate to spread the newes of wickedness for any other people then Allah  revealed surat alfalaq and Surat an-nas to be as a cure for the prophet and the believers after him in such cases.

Surat annas, the people tells us not to fear  people it protects us from the evil of the jinn and people. tells us that,

Allah,  is the only one who we should fear and to seek protection and he is  the only one who averts their devil blots against us. Allah, starts surat annas urging people to seek protection with him saying,قل أعوذ برب الناس  I seek refuge with the lord of annas, the king of annas, the god of annas theses are three attributes  of the attributes of,  the Lord, the mighty, and Majestic, they are lordship, رب الناس  sovereignty ملك الناس divinity اله الناس when we say these ayat  we admit and supplicate to Allah سبحانه وتعالىthat he is the only one who protects us Against  the enmity and  evil acts of the jinn and people who have hatred and envy in their hearts. Then allah سبحانه وتعالى  mentions the evil that we have to seek refuge with him to protect us Allah says من شر الوسواس الخناس  the whisperer  Alwaswas who withdraws.  “The devil who is squatting (perched)  upon the heart of the son of Adam” so when he becomes absent-minded and heedless he whispers it means when the human is far from Allah and he's absent  minded of good deeds  and the Remembrance of Allah the devil avails this time to whisper to him trying to make him more far away from Allah so when the human is absent minded he whispers to his heart and then when he remembers Allah he “ the devil” withdraws that's why we must have taqwa of allah and  remember him all the time.  then Allah says الذي يوسوس في صدور الناس  who whispers in the priests of annas. Then Allah says in the last ayah من الجنة والناس  of jinn and annas. Allah tells that that's not only jinn who whispers in the preasts of annas, but there are humans who act like devils, whispering to people to commit crimes and go the wrong way.  that's why we have to consider good people to be friends and mates as they definitely affect us and affect of our decisions and our lifestyle in general.

The prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

 said to Uqbah ibn Aamir one of his companions

do you not see that there have been ayat revealed to me tonight the like of which has not been before.

they are  قل أعوذ برب الناس & قل أعوذ برب الفلق

Another hadith the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم   says,

 verily the people do not seek for section with anything like these two قل أعوذ برب الناس & قل أعوذ برب الفلق

 these two Surah should be recited always day and night,

especially the morning and before we go to sleep

and any time we fear hatred  and Enemy of the people.

 finally we ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى   to protect us from the evil of jinn and annas “the people”

 this and Allah knows the best.
